Happy 45th Anniversary to Marie Betti!

In March of 2024, Marie celebrated 45 years with Western New York Federal Credit Union. Marie started
working for the credit union in March of 1979, where she was hired as a Clerk/Teller and promoted to Manager in 1986. Not long after, Marie became CEO/Treasurer in 1994.

Marie has been involved in the credit union movement for many years and has
been serving the credit unions of New York State as a Board Member for the New York Credit
Union Association (NYCUA) for the past 17 years. Besides holding the Director’s
position, she has also been an active participant and familiar face in the Buffalo Chapter
of Credit Unions for over 40 years. She has served as the Chapter President for the
past 17 years and Vice-President for four years prior.
“Working at the Western New York FCU for the past 45 years has been a real blessing
to me. I started as a teller and have “grown up” with this credit union, constantly learning
and meeting all challenges we’ve had over the past 45 years.” said Marie. There are not enough good things we can say about sweet Marie. We appreciate her for her kindness, leadership, and her love for the credit union mission. She is known to us as our Credit Union Queen, and we’re looking forward to many more years of her reign! We love you, Marie!
