Definitions

Affiliates
Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Our affiliates include financial companies, such as OwnersChoice Funding, Inc., the New York Credit Union Association (NYCUA) and Velara.

Nonaffiliates
Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Non-affiliates we share with can include insurance companies, government agencies, plastic card processors (credit/debit/ATM), financial statement publishers or printers, consumer reporting agencies and data processors

Joint marketing
A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • Our joint marketing partners include National Income Life Insurance Company (NILCO) and TruStage.
